What a sad situation to be in. Many years ago the team at Camerons Jones did some legal work for me and they were great. But how far things have fallen. No call backs. No replies to emails. Discourteous staff. Even if they are the cheapest solicitor in the borough, I wouldn't use them. People involved in the chain need to get the answers in a reasonable timeframe. A lack of answers at all is not reasonable. 0 out of 10.

Poor Communication and Significant Delays

My experience with Rochelle Perin was very disappointing and, in my view, fell below the level of service I expected. After paying for the service, I found myself repeatedly having to chase for updates throughout the process.

Our lease completed in February 2021, but the registration was still not finalised several years later. In 2023, after requesting an update, I was informed that an application had been submitted to HM Land Registry and that delays were due to their workload. However, when I contacted HM Land Registry directly, I was advised that no application had been received at that time.

In 2024, I became aware that a requisition from HM Land Registry had not been responded to for an extended period. I raised the matter with the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Following this escalation, the file was reassigned, and it was then identified that incorrect documentation had originally been used, meaning the process had to restart.

Throughout, I felt there was a lack of clear communication and transparency. Rather than being proactively updated, I often had to follow up to understand what was happening.

The delays had a practical impact on us, including affecting our ability to move and resulting in additional financial costs when remortgaging.

Overall, based on my experience, I would not choose to use this service again.
