We have just used Watson's for conveyancing. Chris Illingworth was excellent, he was very responsive in answering our calls and emails and gave good advice and support through what was a difficult process (no fault of Watsons). He has been the best solicitor I've personally used for conveyancing.

I have used this firm for a number of years for several important matters, including lasting powers of attorney for my parents and previous property transactions, and until recently my experience had been positive.
However, my most recent interaction with reception was extremely disappointing. I attended the office to drop off signed documents relating to a property purchase and explained that my father had passed away just a couple of days earlier and that I did not have access to a scanner. When I asked if the documents could be scanned to my file, the receptionist appeared dismissive and smirked while I was explaining the situation.
At such a difficult time, I found the lack of empathy and professionalism quite upsetting. Basic courtesy and compassion should be expected from any firm dealing with clients during personal circumstances such as bereavement.
While the solicitor dealing with my matter has been professional, this experience has left me reluctant to attend the office again and has unfortunately undermined my confidence in the firm’s client care.

I would give them 0 stars if that were possible. They made up charges, and over a three-year period, I tried to contact the worst solicitor ever, Mr Latham, who refused my calls for over 3 years. I asked for a call back to dispute my charges, and he said he would call me after his skiing trip. I never received a call. I then contacted the company every time they sent me the bill; still no phone call to dispute my charges. Then after 4 years, I got fed up chasing them and spoke to someone in the accounts department who said they froze my account while they investigated it (they never did). I was never granted a call back, then nothing. I left it at this point, as I have 4 years of records of chasing Mr Latham, who was now a partner. I then received a court CCJ and court proceedings after 7 years. I rang straight away and asked for Latham, who refused to answer the call again. I said you never explained your charges, and they still refused to speak to me. I went to the office, and he was unavailable as normal! i just paid it as the ccj was doing more harm the £600 pound. Please avoid these people at all costs, as they are cowboys in a fancy office. I read the other reviews and they say I'm not a client, I assure you that they tortured me for 7 years with poor communication and un professional approach.

It was my mum and dad who found the advert in the Warrington Guardian about a new employment solicitor joining Watsons Solicitors team.Mr Latham Parry, joining the company just before Christmas 2015.
I had been beaten down as low as one could go at this point and agreed to book an appointment with him, what more did I have to lose.
To those unreligious they will see it as fortuitous - to me, he was a God send.
My case was complex, incorporating, bullying, disability discrimination, constructed unfair dismissal and victimisation going back a number of years.
Mr Latham Parry took me under his wing working one angle at a time. I was facing down the local NHS who considered that what they said was un-contestable!
This case was also personally funded, no union support -even though I was a -member.
Mr Parry found experts who believed in me and worked within my finances.
He was always honest and upfront with how things could go, and I knew that if he didn't believe in our case he would not let me go any further out of pocket.
He was all about ME.
At no point did I feel that he was pushing for the company benefits only.
This case was on going from January 2016 to March 2025. NINE years and he never failed me!
He found me an exceptional Baristar and his secretaries and all the lovely team in the background that worked like a well oiled machine left me with NO doubt how cared for I felt.
For Employment Law you could be in no better hands.
AND YES - WE WON!!!
I would recommend Watsons Solicitors to ANYONE, infact I have done.
For my family, parents, husband, children for an Employment Law expert Mr Latham Parry is the number one choice.
Everytime I fell apart, he put things into perspective. The team put me back together to fight on.
We will be eternally grateful.

Thank you to Vicky and Danny for all the help and support they gave me during the most stressful time of my life. I initially contacted them when I was in a very dark place and they both helped me see light at the end of that tunnel. They made things very straightforward and kept me updated at each step. Now thanks to the both of them I can now move forward with my life with my beautiful girls in our house that is now our safe place.
I cannot thank them enough, they are earth angels 🙌🏼
