I had a very poor experience with Dobson’s Solicitors and would not recommend them.
From the start, the front desk and reception staff were consistently rude and dismissive. Basic professionalism was lacking, and simple enquiries felt like an inconvenience to them.
Communication throughout my case was extremely poor. Calls regularly went unanswered, messages were not returned, and there were long periods with no contact or updates at all. On more than one occasion, I was told no one was available, and at times the office appeared to be unattended during normal working hours.
More concerning was being given information about sentencing that later turned out to be false or misleading. This caused unnecessary stress and shows a worrying lack of care or accuracy in advice.
Overall, the lack of communication, poor organisation, and unprofessional behaviour made an already stressful situation worse. Based on my experience, Dobson’s is not a solicitor’s firm I would trust or use again.

We had the best experience with solicitors at Dobsons. First we had an interview with Mr Nicholson, who took the time to understand our case and explain our options. Then, at court, Ms Barath proved to be highly professional. In the lead-up to the hearing she listened to us, but cut through the unnecessary details, and focused on the key facts, which she then put across very effectively in court. We are very grateful.

We all know that when you get a lawyer to represent you in court, you are 50 percent guilty. I was represented by this firm and to be honest, at first I had the impression that they had no interest in your problem. But today I had the sentence at Woolwich Crown Court and thanks to the lawyer who represented me in court, I came out victorious. She is a person who listens to what you have to say without arrogance, without putting you in difficult situations, asks you if you can give her details about your case. Etc. In a few words, a person, not a lawyer. I thank her for everything she did today. I'm sorry, but I can't remember her name. Keep it up. Thank you.

Poor Experience, Would Not Recommend Dobson solicitors
My experience with Dobsons Solicitors has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. The firm demonstrates a clear lack of professionalism in both communication and client service.
Emails frequently go unanswered, and when you do manage to get through on the phone, the quality of communication is shockingly poor. One solicitor or paralegal in particular, Emmanuel, showed a complete lack of understanding when it came to the phonetic alphabet—something fundamental when dealing with important case information. The language barrier only made things more difficult, and it became clear very quickly that the team lacked the competence, and client care needed for effective legal representation.
In a particularly concerning turn of events, I had to resort to finding out case details through contacts at HMP Belmarsh just to get some clarity, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
Thankfully, the case has now being transferred to a much more capable and responsive legal team—either Assad Khan in Birmingham or Andrew Morris, both of whom operate at a far more professional standard.
If you're considering using Dobsons Solicitors, I strongly advise you to think again. There are far better firms out there that treat clients with respect and handle cases with the diligence they deserve.
