Message this company on August 12/25 regarding an old will that was not properly probated by (Hart, Scales & Hodges,) asking for help to locate where a savings certificate would be from 1966 that was never given to me. It is now Sept 21/25 and NO answer! I always thought that British solicitors were diligent and took pride in their work. Reason for one star is I couldn't post with zero stars

Meaby & Co were recommended to us by a friend and they have certainly lived up to that recommendation. Firstly, of the quotes we received for the conveyancing of the sale of our flat, and the purchase of our new house, they were far and away the cheapest. They were professional, responsive, provided advice (where appropriate) and dealt with a difficult transaction with excellent communication and chasing of other solicitors where required. We have had a bad experience with conveyancing in the past (not from Meaby & Co) and now see what a good solicitor can do. They managed to get our sale and purchase all sorted in just under 3 months which is an incredible speed considering Xmas and the amount of work they must be undertaking through the stamp duty holiday. We would 100% recommend them - with a special shout to Rachael Cobb who helped us understand the process and dealt with us directly. We'll definitely come back to these guys when / if we move again.

We have used Meaby & Co (and previously Hart Scales & Hodge) twice for the conveyancing for the purchase and latterly the sale and purchase of our new property. They were brilliant and Rachael was so helpful and quick to respond. You don't need to chase for updates as they are proactive in keeping on top of the work and letting you know updates as and when they know. This makes such a difference and helps makes moving house much less stressful.
