Buying or selling a home is one of the three most stressful things to do in your life. But if you have Ross Siviter by your side, with his unfailing good humour, reliability and prompt super-efficiency, the sting really is taken out of it all.
We have now done it twice in the past six years, and each time Ross has held our hands, alerted us to any potential problems, calmed any troubled waters and kept us smiling throughout. He is the safest and nicest pair of hands, combined with all the legal nous you need (taking unusual and complicated transactions in his stride), and we cannot recommend him highly enough.
We hope we never have to move house again, but, if we did, he would be the first person we’d call.

Very inadequate service, characterised by extensive delays and a clear lack of attention being paid to our case. The end result was that we ended up behind where we started with the matter having accrued a significant cost with Battens. All very disappointing and would not recommend them to anyone.

We have used Battens for almost thirty years and could not be happier with the service we have received. They are still our solicitors of choice, despite the fact we moved to London in 2005. A deed of variation on a previous loan agreement was just drawn up by Brian Levine. He was responsive, patient and incredibly efficient. Done and dusted in no time. Kudos!
