I’m currently involved in a property purchase where SME’s commercial team are part of the chain. Unfortunately, they have been the single biggest cause of delay — we’re now approaching six months with very little progress.

All other solicitors and agents involved have expressed similar frustration at the complete lack of communication and urgency from SME. As someone who runs a commercial property company, I’ve dealt with many law firms over the years, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen such a lack of drive or professionalism.

The only positive is that I discovered this without being directly represented by them.
