Faye and the team have always been really helpful over the years.

A satisfactory outcome for the sale of my house. It was a low stress scenario as I was selling and moving in to rental and my buyer was a developer. Faye dealt with the sale accordingly. I did however have to re-send several pieces of information and reply to the buyers solicitors myself. The final confirmation of sale listed the 1st line of my address only so when asked to check the consistency of the document, I had to raise this. Hawkridge 'got the job done' but I felt I had to commit significant time and effort on my behalf which was a little disappointing given the significant fee's they charged.

Absolute nightmare of a company especially Mark Hawkridge, he took on my contentious probate case and then had no clue how to fill out the paperwork requested by Leeds Probate, he also ignored the majority of my emails. After putting in 3 complaints I reported to the Law Ombudsman, they investigated and out of 17 complaints they found 13 to be unreasonable. In the end I changed to a different solicitor who was able to complete the work. AVOID this company if you want work completed competently and timely.

Formal complaint waiting for them on their return from Christmas Break. No-one has bothered to tell me my solicitor has left - this is the second one!!!!!! I have been trying to get divorced since May 2018, they have not represented me, they have list my file, don’t return calls & enough is enough now. They came highly recommended, I would never use them again. Formal complaint & im taking them to Financial Ombudsman

I chose Hawkridge to assist with probate, conveyancing and other matters dealing with my late brother's estate. I dealt with Helen for the probate have no complaints she was prompt, professional & competent.
I chased up the invoice & paid it immediately, as was deserved for the service I received.

However, I had to switch to a different law firm for conveyancing, because I could not get them to arrange to meet me, nor even to answer emails - Mark included.

I had to travel several hundred miles to meet with estate agents in Gillingham, and the first people I asked to arrange to meet me - 2 weeks in advance of travelling - were my then solicitors, but, despite several reminder emails I got neither a meeting nor replies to my emails from the conveyancing staff nor from Mark.

There is no way I would risk trusting a company that behaves like that when you're trying to give them new business, with handling the contracts & proceeds of a house sale.

When the boss thinks it's OK to ignore customer's it's time to move on.
