I found the gorleston office to be inefficient, unprofessional and quite frankly rude.
I will never deal with anyone using them as a solicitor.

My experience with Mears Hobbs and Durrant solicitors has been a truly terrible one! I had agreed for Mears Hobbs and Durrant to carry out the conveyancing on our house at an agreed price of £695 + VAT. Half way through the process we received an email stating that the price had then doubled due to the amount of documentation received so the next day I made a telephone call to the solicitor dealing with our property which ended up with her SHOUTING at me down the phone and being extremely rude and unprofessional.
Mears Hobbs have tried to exploit me using there position of power for there own financial gain. Nowhere in there terms of engagement does it stipulate that they have the right to increase the price due to the amount of documentation received and I have read these numerous times to make sure.
I have since transferred to a different firm due to the extortionate price increase from Mears Hobbs and have since been told by the new firm that are in fact CHEAPER by a significant margin that there is in fact no extra documentation to the amount in any normal house purchase.
If you wish to not be ripped off and treated like a dog I would advise you to stay well clear of Mears Hobbs and Durrant and avoid like the plague!!!!!
