Visited Barker Gooch & Swales to sort out a will. I can only say that Colin was top notch in advice & delivery. I would recommend this group.

Really poor service when acting on behalf of my freeholder. 18 months+ to complete a simple lease alteration. Ignore emails, don’t return phone calls. Repeatedly demonstrated totally ineptitude and incompetence. Never provided any explanation or apology for the extreme delays in progressing this matter. Made my life extremely difficult for a long time leaving me chasing what was going on. My own solicitors felt their conduct was wholly unreasonable. The only word to describe Barker, Gooch and Swailes would be “UNPROFESSIONAL”. I cannot advise strongly enough that you avoid having any dealings with this firm. They have cost me a lot of money!

Unfortunately I was unable to select a zero star rating. I have used this firm on several occasions over the past fifteen years when Tony Mole worked here. Sadly he has now retired. My elderly father recently instructed the firm to deal with the sale of a house and the process of probate. He has been misinformed, given poor advice and had monies withheld for no apparent reason. I shall be offering more detailed information to the Law Society.

I am pleased with the excellent service provided by Barker Gooch and Swailes. My solicitor who took on my divorce case , took time to explain every possible outcome which allowed me to make decisions I had not anticipated. I was kept upto date with its progression and secured the best outcome for me.
