Based on our experience:

1. Many emails were not answered.

2. On several occasions he said “I’ll call you tomorrow” to fix ongoing issues, including when the other side breached a court order, but the calls did not happen. He hung up on my son on occasions too.

3. We were not informed about the details of one SECRET court hearing about my grandchildren until AFTER it took place and were not informed that it had been treated as a final order. My son knew nothing about it until digging up the information himself.

4. My son was also not informed that his children could make up their own minds from the age of 16. He eventually found this out by accident on the internet. Banks literally taught him nothing which might improve his situation.

5. Supervision could have been removed MUCH sooner due to a clause in the final order which we were not informed about. We paid over £2,000 in fees to him plus supervision of over £3,000 during the period it could easily have been removed. My son eventually represented himself and, with a local official’s risk assessment, secured unsupervised contact with his children.

6. Banks always deliberately called from a withheld number so there was no way of contacting him unless he contacted us. We know other clients (richer clients) who he did give his mobile number to which indicates that clients are treated differently depending on their circumstances.

From our case, I would not recommend this firm for child access matters.

He simply did not care.

My grandchildren can only see their father now because of his determination. If it were left only to Edgbaston Family Law, my son would now have hit the four-year mark without seeing his kids.

Gary is unhelpful and aggressive when replying to emails. Some discriminatory remarks over the phone as well related to my background. Unable to handle complex cases and quote clauses in the law when writing to the other side. He knows as much as I do from online searches. Changed my solicitor.

(Yes I am using an alias which is my right. I have engaged with you in past. I don't have free time to go on reviewing solicitor's just for the sake of it.)

I have worked with a few solicitors before, but Gary has been by far the best. From the start he has shown genuine empathy, understanding, and professionalism, which makes such a difference during what is an incredibly stressful process.
