We recently bought a property and engaged Tassells solicitors to act on our behalf for the transaction.
We had not used Tassells previously but they recently acted on behalf of our son in a similar transaction and he readily recommended their services.
Having had a below average experience with a firm of solicitors recommended by our estate agents for the sale of our property, we were impressed with the level of service provided by the team at Tassells who kept us abreast of all matters relating to our purchase with regular updates. Similarly, we were able to have in person meetings if we needed to which we greatly appreciated as opposed to online only communication with the solicitors who had dealt our sale.
Tassells staff appear to be highly experienced in all legal aspects of property transactions which gave us great confidence and peace of mind at and we would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Tassels assisted us with gaining probate including sorting out inheritance tax. They were very professional and extremely helpful throughout. Everything was done in a timely manner and they communicated very well, which made us feel we were their primary focus. I would like to single out Poppy Harvey who was our main contact throughout, and is a great ambassador for the company.

Lesley was a pleasure to deal with. She kept us informed throughout the whole process and always answered all our questions and queries in a prompt and professional manner. I would recommend her highly.

Recently sold my leasehold property at auction. Conveyancer Lesley Saunders at Tassells was exemplary in preparing the ‘auction pack’ and seeing the sale through well within the contracted timeframe. Lesley explained everything clearly, so I knew exactly what was happening and what to expect. If this is the bar for legal services in the UK, the other firms have a lot of catching up to do!

We had an excellent experience with Tassells LLP, particularly with Sam Perry and Harvey Barrett, who provided outstanding legal advice.
From the very beginning, their professionalism and attention to detail were clear. They took the time to fully understand our requirements, explained every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand.
Harvey demonstrated exceptional knowledge and Sam was equally impressive, they were both always responsive, thorough, and proactive in addressing any questions we had.
Their communication was prompt and clear, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled efficiently.
What really stood out was their dedication. They showed genuine care and worked diligently to provide professional legal advice in a timely and effective manner.
We would highly recommend Tassells LLP to anyone seeking reliable, knowledgeable, and professional legal services. Sam Perry and Harvey Barrett are a credit to the firm, and we are extremely grateful for their support and expertise.

Awful experience dealing with this firm. On a simple estate, as a beneficiary was not kept informed and when asking simple questions found the response evasive and condescending. Were charged twice for the same work. When complaint was made they refused to address our complaints. Should act as a warning to anyone trusting this firm to execute their wills.

My experience with Tassells Solicitors as executor of my grandfather’s will was disappointing. The estate was simple—no debts, no property, just two beneficiaries—yet it still took 16 months to settle.
The process felt slow and disorganised. We were assigned three different team members, and the change in solicitor required us to resubmit documents and information we had already provided.
There were avoidable administrative errors, such as the Grant of Probate having the wrong date of death, and Tassells didn’t catch this, leading to delays and duplication of processes. Additionally, there were repeated mistakes with my name, causing further delays.
When the estate was finally distributed, tax wasn’t deducted, so a beneficiary had to repay funds to Tassells.
