Solicitor gave me a specific date for me to come into the firm to start getting my application ready. My partner and I both saw him write down the date in his diary. So I came on that day only to be told he was on holiday abroad! I only had 5 days left until my visa expired and I was extremely stressed. When he finally came back he didn't even apologise for his mistake, just pretended like he hadn't fixed a date for me to come in. He was very rude and didn't reply to an important email sent to him over a year ago. A family friend with no law degree told me how to go about the EU settlement scheme, and I followed up his advice with IMK solicitors who sorted me out with efficiency and professionalism. Not worth paying his excessive fees (IMK solicitors was £300 cheaper) when the family friend gave me great initial advice.
