Dreadful in all aspects.

Although originally referred to me by a local estate agent, sadly I cannot recommend Marshall Hatchick following what transpired to be a very poor experience with the purchase of a plot of land.

During the transaction itself, my solicitor was often difficult to get hold of or get answers from.

When I subsequently came to sell the land, I opted to appoint a different local firm, which was an entirely different experience. They unfortunately found some very serious errors in the conveyance provided by Marshall Hatchick, finding that searches that I had paid for and assumed to have been carried had, in fact, not been done at all. In addition, there were issues with easements, and issues with the Land Registry. Overall, these grave errors have cost me in the region of £20,000 to rectify.

I will now be pursuing a formal complaint with the legal ombudsman to hopefully ensure that others can avoid a similar experience.

Michelle Chemli at Marshall and Hatchick was the solicitor who handled my divorce. She was fantastic and went above and beyond to get me the best financial settlement. She was always professional, gave realistic and honest advise and most importantly she cares. She cares for her clients and often had to pick me up when I crumbled and that makes all the difference and gives you the strength and courage to keep fighting.

He kept us up to date with progress and answered any queries promptly. I would highly recommend Russell and we shall certainly be using him again in the future.
