Moved to Bannister Preston, specifically David Carter Hughes following a poor experience with another conveyancer. David spoke to me directly at initial contact, explained the fees upfront& ran through their processes. His clarity gave me confidence to proceed with the firm.
I was looked after both in terms of the sale of my property & the purchase of another. When my original purchase fell through at the last hurdle David assured me that he would get me into my new home efficiently. He was true to his word & backed by the team including Isabelle, Sarah, Sonia, Margaret. They held my hand through the whole thing & kept me informed throughout. I would recommend them to anyone for a professional, efficient service. I genuinely felt that they understood the stresses & strains & went out of their way to minimise the impact. I felt they all cared about my experience & the provision of the best service. Thank you to David & the team.

Do not go with David in this firm if you ever want to buy and sell your property. He does not respond to emails or return calls, whether its to other solicitors or clients or estate agent. He dragged the whole process out so long that we risk a whole chain collapsing despite having all parties in the chain ready and very keen to proceed. Complete liability and no accountability from anyone in the firm at all

I bought a house from Taylor Wimpey many years ago and they recommended Bannister Preston as a solicitor who could get the deal done quickly. I was young and naive and used their recommened solicitor. Bannister Preston never made it clear that the ground rent was escalating and eventually made me lose a considerable amount on my house sale years later.
