Jeremy had been my solicitor for around 5 years, he was an outstanding representative for me in a huge ongoing case which has now finally come to an end! He helped me achieve end results which in the beginning, I never imagined possible.
The firm were very informative, professional, knowledgeable and kept me up to date with everything; they informed me about legal aid to help with funding which I was applicable for and received. They assisted me in their office for video link court hearings on several occasions, making me feel at ease, offering hot beverages etc. Kate especially, was very kind, professional, thorough and helpful, with very speedy responses and updates throughout the whole process! Jim was also very kind and assisted me with my legal aid and he was very helpful with a lot of paper work at the office regarding my case. They all treated me so fairly and were so kind to me throughout and over the years and made me feel comfortable and at ease; they never once let me feel like I was a bad person and saw beyond the charges I had against me which were once made in bad choices and a bad phase of my life.
Jeremy found me an incredible A star barrister locally in Exeter who was willing to work hard and help me fight my case, as well as travel to Manchester on more than one occasion for court proceedings. The whole team fought very hard for me and were very successful; they got me amazing results which I’m so grateful for. Instead of a potential 9+ year sentence in prison, they helped me achieved a final result of a community order which enabled me to carry on living my life stress free and being a mother to my beautiful little daughter.
I’m so grateful and overwhelmed by the amazing work, effort and support from the whole team over the years. Jeremy and Kate really stood by me and made the whole process as stress free as possible; they’re some of the nicest, genuine, hard working people I have ever met. I can never thank you all enough!
I highly recommended if you are in need of legal help or advice especially concerning criminal defence cases! I rate them 10/10 if possible and couldn’t fault them or their work whatsoever! Because of them, I can move on from my horrible past and continue with a positive future. Their work and commitment is remarkable. Best wishes to the whole team and thank you so much again.

Peta Shanks represented me, during a police interview about a counter claim from my ex-husband. She immediately challenged the police on their inaction on his domestic violence/assault on me, which they had barely investigated. I could not have wished for better representation and would thoroughly recommend her and this company to others.

Felt the need to review.
Through unexpected events I met with Kate. A fantastic lawyer, and decent human being.
Despite my obvious guilt through incredibly bad choices I have been treated with the upmost respect and decency. They have an understanding of life that is needed in the profession. When I needed assistance in a matter they don't deal with, I was advised of other local businesses that could help and they trusted to recommend. I was never looking for a miracle, just support and they were it!

Agree with the previous marker at 1 star- Absolutely terrible service and Mr Tricks was over-friendly with the police (despite being a so-called defence solicitor). He also spent the entire interview sending emails on his laptop rather than listening or directing on questions designed to incriminate the attendee eg with vague responses. Returned to obtain important case documents later to find a run down closed cupboard; they are probably using the address as a PO /mailbox not an office like a professional successful business would. If you are someone who is asked to attend an interview in Exeter, for the sake of your future I would seriously recommend searching outside of Devon if you want the slightest chance to save your future - do not recommend this firm whatsoever. Could have done a better job myself.
